Ryan T. Smith, M.D.

Ryan T. Smith, MD is a fellowship trained surgeon who specializes in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. Dr. Smith graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Toledo and earned his doctorate in medicine at the University of Cincinnati. After completing an internship in internal medicine at The Christ Hospital, he continued his training with a three-year ophthalmology residency at the University of Cincinnati, where he was named chief resident. Dr. Smith went on to gain advanced clinical and surgical training by completing a year-long fellowship at Durrie Vision/The University of Kansas dedicated to cornea, cataract surgery using premium intraocular lenses, and laser vision correction.

Dr. Ryan Smith has been active in ophthalmic research and FDA clinical trials which have been published in professional medical journals. He is active in a number of professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
